CEO and Managing Director
Geir Bratland is the founder of Atlas Seaway and is a Master Mariner with a long and profound experience from New Building Projects in Korea and China as well as 35 years of seagoing experience on LNG, LPG, tankers, chemical tankers, Ro-Ro, and passenger vessels.
Having spent most of his career in Shipbuilding, LNG, and LPG vessels, Geir has spent the last 20 years acting as Captain aboard ocean liners.
As a master mariner, he has amassed comprehensive experience and practical knowledge in the maritime industry that is guaranteed to benefit any marine project.
Geir has worked for a decade as the Site Manager for South Korean shipyards, supervising the new build of numerous LNG tankers, FSRU’s, and product tankers. He thrives in a busy international environment where he makes cultural diversity a strength and uses it as an asset for his clients.
Geir is stationed in South Korea and directly supervises all construction projects under Atlas Seaway contract. He is responsible for all customer relations and will be deeply involved in contract negotiations, specification, plan approval and makers’ selection, shipyard condition assessments, and other tasks as required.
Geir actively participates in pre-purchase surveys of vessels to ensure that superior professional supervision services are provided for all customers. You can rest assured knowing that Geir brings the highest quality maritime expertise to every project and personally supervises your order.
